What We Believe

We believe in a personal relationship with God through worship, prayer and the teaching of the Word of God. (John 4:23; Col 3:16; Acts 6:4; Phil 4:6; Matt 28:20; Matt 9:35)

We believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ’s (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess, and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians. (Matt 5:46; Luke 10:27)

We believe worship of God should be with emphasis upon the teaching of the Word of God, that He might instruct us how He should be worshipped. (Matt 21.15-17; Matt 28:20)

We believe that God is eternally existent in three separate persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Gen 1:1; Deu 6:4; John 10:30; Matt 28:19)

We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, that the Bible (Old and New Testaments) in its original languages, is the inspired, infallible Word of God. (2 Tim 3:15-17; 2 Pet 2:21)

We believe that God (existent in three separate persons) is the personal, transcendent, and sovereign Creator of all things. (Isa 40;28; Ecc 12:1)

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully Man, that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided for the atonement of our sins by His death on the cross, was bodily resurrected by the power of the Holy Spirit, ascended back to the right hand of God the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us. (Isa 7:14; Mark 16:19; John 10:33, 11:25)

We believe that all people are, by nature, separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person is regenerated by the Holy Spirit (born again), repents of sin and receives Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, believing on Him and trusting Him to save, that person is immediately sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord. (John 3:3; John 3:5; John 3:16-19; John 5:24; Rom 3:23; Rom 5:8-9; Eph 2:8-10; Titus 3:5)

We believe the devil, called Satan, is real, who, along with all his fallen angels, called demons or evil spirits, are destined to spend eternity in hell, and now seek to deceive the world, defeat the believers, and destroy the work of God, but can be resisted by believers who are protected through the intercession of Jesus Christ. (Acts 5:3; Acts 26:17-18; 2 Cor 2:10-11; 1 Thes 2:18; Rev 12:9)

We believe that heaven is a real place where the saved will dwell for a period of time with Christ, and that hell is a literal place of torment where unbelievers will suffer forever. (Job 22:12; Psalm 33:13; Matt 5:3; Psalm 9:17; Matt 10:28; 2 Pet 2:4-11

We believe in the Pre-Millennial, Pre-Tribulational Rapture of the Church with the return of Jesus Christ for His church. (1 Thes 4)

We believe that all believers need to be filled constantly and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a godly life and to be bold in our witness for the Lord. (Acts 1:8; Rom 5:5; 2 Tim 1:14)

We believe in the spiritual unity of all genuine believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Psalm 133:1; Eph 4:12-13; Heb 10:25)

We believe that the nation of Israel has a special place in God’s plan, and that all of the promises and covenants of God to Israel will ultimately be fulfilled. (Daniel 9:24; Rom Ch. 9, 10, 11)
